Perform the accounting function of Payroll, including all related tax and governmental reporting. Administer capital credits program including executing capital credit allocations and retirements, coordinating advertisement of unclaimed checks, processing capital credit donations, and reviewing policy and procedure. Manage billing, accounting, and required filings for Members 1st Power Cooperative. Manage payments, reconciliation and required filings for Powder River Energy Corporation (PRECorp) Foundation. Perform general accounting procedures, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, monthly balancing and general ledger entries, internal audit functions, quarterly and annual compiance reporting, as well as assisting department and other employees in obtaining information upon request.
A. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or other related field required, with complete understanding and knowledge of general accounting
principles and practices.
B. Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years' experience in payroll functions.
C. Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in general accounting functions.
D. Previous experience with and understanding of RUS accounting is preferred.
E. Minimum of two to three (2-3) years' experience in a supervisor role.
