As the Director of Construction Operations, you will be a key member of the senior management team and report directly to the President. In this position you will oversee all construction operations and projects to optimize project and business success with a significant emphasis on workforce/succession planning, hiring, employee coaching and mentorship. As an industry and project management expert, you will apply your knowledge to accelerate the growth and development of the Project Management team. You will oversee the selection of optimal construction partners, resources and ensure effective management of those relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

  • The right candidate will be a proven and seasoned Senior Project Manager/Project
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction and project management experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Management firm
  • Civil Engineering Technology or related Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects start to finish with a specialization in ICI Construction fit up and tenant improvement projects
  • Proven experience in Quality Control project requirements and implementation
  • Knowledge and experience in defining, revising and implementing processes and procedures that are effective and sustainable
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to be able to anticipate, navigate and manage any project issue
  • Provide targeted mentorship and coaching to project managers
  • Unwavering commitment to risk assessment and health and safety standards
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative team approach including cost/scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, construction, finance, accounting, safety, and other services required to be performed for the project to achieve an integrated project team approach to the work
