Job Summary:

The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading all residential and commercial solar and energy storage efforts, including but not limited to: developing sales strategy, generating leads, closing sales and providing customer service. The role will be responsible for building and growing the sales department at ATMA Energy in the Texas market.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in residential solar sales and a background in commercial solar as well as energy storage solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet/exceed sales goals
  • Lead business development: origination of leads and building a pipeline
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial customers
  • Focus on providing the right solutions and the highest value to our customers
  • Be a brand ambassador for ATMA Energy
  • Lead the recruitment of additional sales team members
  • Lead the sales team to outperform company metrics

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in residential solar sales (This is a must)
  • 10+ years of experience in sales
  • 3+ years of experience managing a solar sales team
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proven track record of outperforming sales goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and customers
  • Proven ability to develop effective sales strategies
  • Ability to quickly and effectively utilize company software tools and learn new software as necessary
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with commercial solar sales
  • Experience with sales of energy storage solutions
  • Established network of customers and developers in the residential and commercial market
