Job Overview:

The Dynamics Business & Systems Analyst will be responsible for managing and continuously improving a Dynamics-based software system/database, conducting data analysis in support of strategic projects, and reporting across multiple programs in APTIM's Energy Solutions team. The successful candidate will collaborate with program staff to identify areas for improvement and growth and deliver work on committed timelines. The position may be levelled as a Senior Dynamics Business & Systems Analyst, depending on the experience of the successful candidate.

The Analyst will develop program dashboards and reporting and conduct regular review of program data to identify trends, insights, risks and opportunities. The Analyst role will also lead database maintenance ensuring user specifications are communicated appropriately and will track the completion status of the development schedule. The Analyst will serve as the first point of contact for leadership staff needing quick turn-around reporting and ensure data is clean and high-quality. Outwardly, this role will interface with clients, vendors and manage /interface with software developers to communicate requirements to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • In consultation with program staff, development of a vision and plan for long term improvement of program tracking system
  • Management, continuous improvement and optimization of program tracking system and databases in collaboration with program staff
  • Ongoing assurance of end to end data integrity, security and accessibility supporting energy programs
  • Regular and ad-hoc analysis on program data and KPIs
  • Regular and ad-hoc analysis of market, demographic and other industry data in support of program development, innovation and sales
  • Development of dynamic program dashboards and regular, pre-defined reports
  • Regularly interrogate program data to find trends, insights, risks and opportunities
  • Interface with software developers -- communicate requirements, manage requests
  • Conduct QA/QC of program processes and protocols related to data and reporting, offering improvements and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with all APTIM and client quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two years of strategic responsibility for and development of customized Microsoft Dynamics-based systems with demonstrated experience in continuous improvement
  • Four years' project management experience
  • High degree of proficiency with business intelligence tools, including Power BI
  • Ability to create new modeling/forecasting approaches to support program development such as market propensity models, sensitivity analysis and regression models
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software -- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited two or four-year college or university
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and experience with client engagement and coordination
  • Strong quantitative and analytic capabilities including memorandum writing and spreadsheet analysis

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years' energy efficiency and DSM program experience
  • Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions including, lighting, HVAC and mechanical systems
