Our client is a heavy industrial manufacturing company looking to expand their engineering team. They are currently looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician. This position will work closely with engineers to support current production machines and innovative new designs for agricultural applications. This role will design, document, and assemble electrical systems including 12V circuits and purchased components for vehicle control systems, ECU interfaces, electro-hydraulic controls, and human-machine interfaces that meet project goals and customer needs.Electrical Engineering Technician Responsibilities:Design wire harnesses and specify electrical components for complex vehicle control systems that include engine control unit interfaces, human-machine interfaces, and electro-hydraulic controls.Maintain documentation, drawings and schematics for wire harnesses and electrical components. Assemble and test wire harnesses and electrical systems. Test vehicle control systems under guidance from Electrical Engineer to help debug designed software to ensure safe and correct operation of machines.Designs must ensure that project requirements and industry standards are achieved, and that all applicable safety standards and regulations are followed.Develop and maintain supporting documentation, schematics and drawings for designed wire harnesses and electrical systems.Electrical Engineering Technician Requirements:1-3 years of experience in developing electrical system schematics and drawings, or associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.Knowledge with:Control system theory and applicationsBasic DC electrical circuit theory.Schematic and vehicle harness design skillsElectrical system design for off-road vehiclesCAN and J1939 protocols, and Danfoss Plus+1 experienceZuken E3 experienceGood mechanical background and understanding of equipment3D CAD software, such as SolidworksExperience with hydraulic control systems
