Climate Robotics seeks an Electro-Mechanical engineering technician with expertise in fabricating heavy industrial equipment, autonomous vehicles/automotive or robotics systems. We are building the next generation of agricultural machinery, which allows farmers to improve their soil while sequestering atmospheric carbon. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates based in North America. We offer competitive salary, benefits and stock options. Engineering Technician will build, install, test, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment or related automated production systems. They will install and make repairs to equipment, such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, or servomotors. They will also fabricate, weld and assemble mechanical components. They will perform a wide variety of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical duties in the fabrication, testing, debugging, and documentation of assemblies, modules, and systems.



Able to determine tools and equipment required to perform scope of job.

Assembles mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.

Supports engineering with prototype builds, testing and troubleshooting.

Performs routine maintenance on equipment and assists in developing specifications and procedures, as well as, establishing preventative maintenance schedules with customers.

Works closely with engineering to resolve design issues.

Develops and modifies detailed work instructions for assembly and test.

Helps to establish and maintain manufacturing best practices.

Possess a quick and flexible approach to problem-solving.

Reads schematics, assembly drawings, datasheets, and process sheets to perform testing and build fixtures.

Uses enhanced troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment issues.

Create, review and update technical documentation.

Modify incoming electrical harnesses with various tools such as wire cutters, crimping tools, soldering, and desoldering tools.

Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal, digital, or written instructions to build and install components


An associate degree, or higher level with vocational/technical training, or equivalent experience.

Experience fabricating and testing heavy industrial equipment or automotive components

Flexibility to handle multiple, changing priorities.

Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Strong written and verbal communication and team skills

Proficient in the use of manual and power tools

Experience with agricultural machinery is a plus.

Some travel is required to project sites around Central Texas
