Job TitleFacilities Construction Project EngineerJob Description SummaryThe Construction Project Engineer provides the needed skills to maintain the Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC operations of the facility. This position will be the interface between the contractors, engineers (both Cummins engineers and outside engineers), RMEP stakeholders, OEM representatives, and other involved parties to the projects. This position is for an engineer, facilitator, planner and referee who can protect facilities interests and maintain the plant standards around Live Safety regulations, OSHA regulations and upholding the look and feel of a well-kept modern facility.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Ability to read facility and engineering prints and confirm that contractors are following their contract obligations.Work with Engineering FirmsWork with Multiple Primes and Sub contractor on facility projectsConduct morning safety and contractor meetingsObtain Hot Work, Working from Heights and Confined Space permitsBecome and champion RMEP Specifications and StandardsAble to work alone and set priorities based on an overall master planWilling to work a flexible schedule to meet project demandsWilling to spend time on the construction sites and stakeholdersReview project drawings for conformance to plant standards and safety standardsGive recommendations to correct problems and work with others for a compromise solutionGive reports to Facilities and/or RMEP management on progress of projectsMaintain records of recommendations and corrective action takenMaintain meeting logs on projectsResearch legacy building drawings and specifications for facility standardsWork with Facility Team for project direction and goalsParticipate in training and responding to plant emergency issues within the guidelines of the PEO (Plant Emergency Organization)Participate in TQS problem solving, continuous improvement, leadership and team buildingDemonstrate the skills to maintain Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC equipment within the facilityManage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance and meets commitmentsC Services is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
