We are currently recruiting for a Drill Foreman/Operator in our Plant City, FL officeOverview:Position consists of general heavy equipment operation for construction. Drilling equipment operators can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.Responsibilities:Safely operates drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/TrailerRestores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the jobsiteWill develop and maintain a bore scheduleResponsible for the site set-up and clean-upLoad and unload tools, materials and equipment on truckWill be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting constructionSetting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging trafficAbility to follow instructionsQualifications:Must be experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitationsExperience with drill set up and design processesBasic ability to use small tools/hand toolsAbility to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructionsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkMust have a valid CDL Class A with no restrictionsMust be able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilitiesMust have good troubleshooting and problem solving skillsMust be very safety conscientiousMust have availability towork overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completedPreferred Qualifications:Valid Class A Commercial Driver's license with tanker endorsementPrevious construction experience or utility construction experiencedPhysical Requirements:Climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects.Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 LBS as needed with or without assistanceDuties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
