POSITION SUMMARY:

Faurecia Clarion Electronics (FCE) is looking for a highly motivated Automotive Quality Project Manager to focus on Functional Safety/ Cybersecurity to join its operation and to bring experience with developing safe and secure automotive solutions.

The Functional Safety/ Cybersecurity Auditor/Assessor will work closely with the program development engineering resource and managers to ensure the functional safety and Cybersecurity process are executed, documented and work products are ISO26262 / ISO 21434 compliant and to review and verify the development plan includes all the necessary checking to satisfy the functional safety and Cybersecurity goals , customer and quality requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform safety audits and assessments to confirm products are compliant to ISO 26262/ ISO 21434 and that functional safety/ Cybersecurity activities match the plan
  • Coordinate and conduct reviews with Program Development Engineers to ensure functional safety/Cybersecurity standards are being met throughout product development cycles
  • Review and verify the development plan includes the necessary checking to satisfy the functional safety /cybersecurity goals, customer, and quality requirements
  • Review and approve the safety plan and safety cases in accordance with customer requirements
  • Create confirmation review reports of safety critical work products at specific project milestones and provide guidance to teams on how to achieve compliance

  • Collaborate with development team on Functional Safety and the development of the safety analysis and strategy at the system, hardware, and software level
  • Support the integration and the development of the safety activities and requirements in the development project
  • Ensure that safety plan activities meet program timing
  • Analyze and Perform safety management activities during all project phases (concept, product development and production) including hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and calculation of hardware reliability metrics as needed
  • Assist in defining the required tests for the verification and validation of the safety requirements
  • Supports customer review meetings
  • Assisting customers with functional safety and interface specifications
  • Assist global engineering teams on the development and validation of automotive products
  • Assist in the maintenance of the ISO Document Control System, including the creation, revision, and enhancement of documents records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

IDEAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Science or related
  • 3+ years of experience in product development Life Cycle with respect to Systems, Electrical or Software Development (ideally in automotive safety related products)
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in Functional Safety and Cyber Security methodologies, preferably automotive (e.g. ISO 26262, ISO 21434, A-SPICE, IATF 16949 or ISO9001:2015 is recommended)
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems initiatives and standards, including experience in writing policies and procedures in assigned subject-matter area(s), especially Quality and Safety Management Systems
  • Familiarity with In-Vehicle communication bus protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LVDS, A2B, Bluetooth, etc.)
  • Knowledge with creation of safety documents (e.g., Safety Case, FMEA, FMEDA, HARA and FTA)
  • Strong knowledge with embedded control systems, hardware, and software
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, failsafe concepts and strategies for safety related systems
  • Good technical leadership, planning and organization /control skills
  • Experience in process improvement, integration, and problem-solving practices
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective training
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to peers, management, and customers
  • Ability to work effectively within a team orientated environment
