The Infrared Patching Laborer will be responsible for cleaning, prepping, maintaining and applying new asphalt on patched area; such as parking lots, play grounds, and streets. Candidate must be able use brooms, shovels, and a variety of other hand tools to ensure a clean surface prior to patching. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions on pavement surfaces. Must be willing to learn and adapt to different techniques to ensure a quality paved surface in a safe manner.

  • All employees are required to work safely and report any injury immediately
  • Must set up and tear down equipment
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and machinery
  • Clean and prep pavement for resurfacing
  • Rake area that has been heated for patch work
  • Must be able to operate a roller over patched areas
  • Able to use brooms, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other hand tools as needed to complete job
  • Hand work areas that are going to be patched
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and organized job site
  • Assist with traffic control devices
  • Any other duties as assigned by management


  • One year of experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, managers and customers
  • Ability to produce quality work
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or irregular hours that will be required based on schedule
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation to arrive to job site(s)
  • Must be able to provide legal right to work in the U.S. as BBAC participates in E-Verify
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Possess a valid driver's license preferred but not required
  • Bilingual is a plus
