Maintenance Supervisor - Dairy Plant:

Location: Blair, Wisconsin:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Heightened food safety and food quality responsibilities.
Responsible for hiring, and training new employees. Directing work, approving time, performance reviews and resolving Plant and Personnel issues.
Responsible for Maintenance Techs have the following OSHA requirements: arc flash, aerial lift, confined space, first aid/CPR, fall protection, forklift, hazardous communication, hot works, lockout/tag out, and general shop safety.
Maintain a safe and efficient plant production and packaging equipment.
Provide weekend assistance.
Purchasing of supplies, packaging, and other items.
Foster a Safety First atmosphere.

Required Skills:
Use blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids.
Demonstrated strong teamwork and work directly with manufacturing team.
Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical skills, PLC experience a plus.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Valid drivers license.
Honesty, integrity, creativity, and flexibility.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Certificate or diploma from trade school in related field a plus.
3 to 5 years of experience in the mechanical maintenance, and/or repair.
Supervisory experience, preferably in a maintenance department.
Prior experience in the Dairy or Cheese industry is preferred.
SQF, HACCP, GMPs, OSHA and loss control programs highly desirable.

PHYSICAL and MENTAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed in a general office environment with low to moderate noise exposure.
Lift or move from 25lbs up to 55lbs.
Climb ladders and work at elevations above 4 feet.
Employees are regularly exposed to cold to warm or hot temperatures.
Exposed to wet walking surfaces.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The employee is "not" exposed to weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to very low levels of ammonia.
(PPE) Personal protective equipment is required depending on the job.
