General Description The Project Developer will carry out project development activities for the North American platform of the company including supporting wind and solar development efforts and joint partnerships to develop, build, and operate wind and solar projects. You will also provide information, documentation, and overall support to Project Managers and other Development staff. Main accountabilities: Create and update project maps and databases using GIS tools Coordinate and assemble project proposals to landowners Assist with community outreach and land acquisition activities Conduct land, market, regulatory, and related project research Compile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform other tasks as needed to obtain permits for wind farms at the local, state, and federal level Work alongside other internal EDP Renewables departments including engineering, construction, energy assessment, legal, etc. to coordinate the various project development activities Provide technical and analytical support during the development phase of wind and solar projects Provide technical and analytical support to the Director of Business Development as needed during mergers, acquisitions, and joint partnership transaction opportunities Stay abreast of current energy market design and regulations in Mexico Support the identification of prospective projects with suitable wind/solar resources, commercial attractiveness, and access to the grid Support the review and update of the company's priority projects list on an ongoing basis with the Director of Business Development Research market data on an ongoing basis to identify market opportunities for potential project acquisitions, power purchase agreements, and best practices and improvement opportunities Coordinate the work of third-party consultants as needed Conduct and manage all work in a timely fashion to ensure that critical deadlines are met Travel will be required to several states within Mexico on a periodic basis Additional duties as required Direct reports: None Travel: up to 65% Minimum qualifications: Experience with managing multiple third-party consultants and contractors Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field 0 - 2 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry; demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary teams Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software; some knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Spatial Analyst software preferred Must be fluent in Spanish and English Must have valid passport enabling international travel Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. (Preferred).
