Compensation is based upon experience and qualifications.Thalle is an Equal Opportunity Employer, E-Verify and Drug Free Workplace.Location: Dallas, Fort Worth and Surrounding Area of TexasPosition/Salary: Project Manager / Based upon Qualifications and Experience LevelEssential Duties and Responsibilities:This senior level management position is fully accountable for the financial performance of the project (i.e., P) performance and overall management direction for one or more multi-million-dollar heavy civil construction projects. The Project Manager has authority over major decisions related to project plan and implementation.Plan and formulate civil construction projects according to project requirements and engineering standardsEnsure overall project quality control, including review of project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specificationsCreate and maintain all project-related documentation and correspondence.Prepare analytical reports for presentation to upper managementCollaborate with field management to ensure successful resolution of issues between the project plan and site execution on an ongoing basisApprove all equipment or personnel changes and requisitions prepared and submitted by superintendentsMaintain timely knowledge of what is occurring on projectAppropriately execute final authority over issue resolution related to project plan and implementationDemonstrate understanding of when to elevate issues and/or communicate to upper managementPlan for and organize project staff according to project requirements, including assigning proper personnel to specific projects or components of projectsEnsure and communicate clear roles and responsibilities to entire project teamConduct weekly meetings with project team (to include scheduling and costing review)Develop and effectively manage against project budget and ensure project meets projected/required marginsEnsure the accuracy of weekly Viewpoint labor and equipment reports and monthly Viewpoint cost reportsConduct and document ongoing financial projections of project performance throughout project lifeSubmit accurate and timely cost and income projections for projectSubmit accurate and timely payment requisitionsAppropriately act on changes in project margins and budget variances to ensure project profitabilityDemonstrate a thorough understanding of contract terms and specificationsAct as Thalle' s representative with owners and owner's engineers at project meetingsDocument all change conditionsComplete all written notification requirementsEnsure accurate recordkeeping is maintained at job siteEnsure timely and appropriate communications of time extensions and delays to owner in accordance with contract requirementDocument, prepare, and initiate claims, if necessaryProtect Thalle' s interests, minimize conflicts, and professionally resolve issuesDemonstrate thorough understanding of project schedule, key project milestones, and reasons for delays.Update project schedule on monthly basisEnsure accuracy, appropriate detail, and timely submittal of Superintendent's 2-week schedulesIdentify competent subcontractors and suppliers for projects by comparing and evaluating them based on price, scope, schedule, terms, qualifications, and history with ThalleOversee the issuance of subcontracts and supplier purchase ordersEnsure the appropriate performance management of subcontractorsEnsure all site operations adhere to Company and site safety policies and protocolsEnsure Incident and Injury Free protocols are always followed, and behaviors and culture are instilled at all levels on the projectAs an employee of Thalle, you shall act as the liaison and point of contact for multiple Governmental Agencies, Thalle and its subcontractorsOther duties as assignedEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (4 years)PreferredProfessional license, certifications and contractor's licensesPreferredMinimum 8-10 yrs. Of heavy civil job experience in project engineering and project management RequiredStrong computer skills, including Primavera, Viewpoint, HCSS Heavy Bid PreferredStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple, large scale, challenging heavy civil projectsStrong Ability to organize and prioritize tasksExcellent and proven leadership skillsAbility to adapt and work effectively with diverse workforce30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course within the last five years (or equivalent training) preferredPrior Experience working with U.S. Army Corp of Engineers PreferredKnowledge of Pump Stations, Large Diameter Piping and ValvesWorked as a Project Manager on similar types of projects such as WWTP, Dams, Large UtilityPhysical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephoneThalle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
