Conco Construction, a self-performing regional leader in the commercial construction industry is seeking a Project Manager. A successful candidate will have the proven ability to lead and manage projects in a variety of industry sectors with varying size/complexity. Candidates will be tasked with taking projects from estimate through project close-out. Successful candidates will be expected to learn and have an in-depth understanding of Conco's self-performing trades (earthwork, concrete, masonry, ironwork, carpentry, drywall and pre-engineered metal buildings). Conco's success is highly dependent on developing and maintain long term business clients. The right candidate will feel at home in Conco Construction's fast-paced, high-energy environment. Responsibilities:Manage construction projects in conjunction with project superintendentPrepare and lead project related meetings (progress, OAC, pre-installation, etc.)Create and update detailed project construction schedulesReview and approve project invoices weeklyAccurately update job costs reports and project estimated profitsEffectively prepare competitive estimates for both self-perform trades and subcontracted workManage bid processes for both hard bid and negotiated projectsMaintain positive relationships with clients, subs, suppliers, and business partnersEffectively prepare and manage project RFIs, submittals/shop drawing reviews, subcontract documents, contract documents, change orders and close-out documentsSuccessful candidates will have the following attributes:Proactively identify and address issuesSense of urgencyAbility to prioritize workload and successfully manage multiple projects at one timeSense of ownership on projectsAccountability of self and others on the teamIntegrity in all decisions and aspects of the projectDemonstrated effective communication skills, both written and oralBasic Requirements:2+ years experience in a project management or construction management roleBachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Science, Engineering or related field OR relevant construction management experienceAbility to lead construction projects from start to finish with little oversightExposure to estimating & bid processesValid driver's license Preferred Skills/ Experience:2+ years' work experience leading and managing commercial construction projectsManaging projects in excess of $5MManaging Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) projectsExperience with Bluebeam, OST software and could-based project management softwareStrong presentation skills for project interviewsBusiness development acumenWHY CONCO?Conco Construction is recognized as a leader in the commercial construction industry and is the premier source for high-quality construction, a "safety first" workplace attitude, and a family-oriented work environment.
