The Software Engineering Manager is the people and program leader for our core systems who is responsible for developing technology and software strategies to ensure business clients are supported with high-quality, high-value systems. Reporting to the Director of IT/CTO, this position is responsible for the designated range of the information service's organizational structure including development and operations.


• Leads the business applications, technology & information technology (IT) operations implementations, standardizations, optimization and support

• Provides guidance and direction regarding business application and technology utilization to ensure that standards are in place and are maintained

• Provides exceptional communication with all the stakeholders regarding applications and technology expectations to include capabilities, project status updates, application issues/resolution

• Recruits, hires, evaluates, and develops employees

• Manage the department budget with appropriate forecasting, planning and control activities

• Is highly responsive to colleague needs, including training, to assure wide-spread acceptance and use of the business applications and technology

• Lead the coordination, planning, implementation, deployment and support of the enterprise and operational application portfolio of ePulse/Poll Pad

• Develop and implement procedures and standards relevant to the application portfolio and ensure there conformance with Company objectives

• Provide leadership and expertise in the areas of systems analysis, software and database operations, software development, and software release management, successfully following the SDLC and compliance processes for the application program

• Accountable for the development and enhancement of methodologies and practices in the area of application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement

• Ensure that applications processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards legislation

• Facilitates cross entity sharing of IT operations knowledge and best practices

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends


• Skills related to interpersonal communication: listening, speaking, and writing

• Solid organizational and analytical skills including attention to detail and multitasking

• Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies

• Strong working knowledge office technology tools, communication tools and personnel applications

• Strong skill set in metrics driven decision process

• Highly experienced in application monitoring and alerting

• Highly experienced in Cloud delivery and automation

• Hands on expertise with Apple tools and MDM technology
