Sr Plant Process Engineer
The Sr Plant Process Engineer reports directly to the Logistics Manager. Peers include production supervisors, engineers,
maintenance, lab, safety, and environmental personnel.
This role supports all facets of production through involvement in process, reliability improvement projects, quality improvement
projects and safety related projects by tracking yields, OAU Operational Asset Utilization, and operating conditions,
looking for process improvements to reduce RPE Recurring Production Expense and Variable costs.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Department PSM Process Safety Management contact. Initiate and complete MOC's Management of Change and track completion
of action items. Conduct Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews, and participate in department PHA's Physical Hazardous Analysis. Ensure
completion of Mechanical Integrity items including internal inspections and relief valves.
• Department AIMS Arkema Integrated Management System contact. Maintain quality system, including documentation of
CQI Continuous Quality Improvement calibrations.
• Project engineering: Initiate and complete minor capital projects. Coordinate major capital projects with Calvert City and
Central Engineering. Provide technical support during projects. Update documentation, procedures, and training. Update and
maintain department P&ID's.
• Process engineering: Provide technical support and lead improvements in all systems in the Logistics area, including loading,
unloading, blending, and packaging of refrigerants and HCL. Improve systems through application of new technology.
• Optimize blend composition as demand requires by adjusting targets to maximize use of lower cost components. Track and
report incremental cost savings.
• Production Support: Ensure all shipments are met. Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and records are kept and
maintained. Production Supervision: Provide primary back up coverage for all supervisors in the department, including the
Logistics Superintendent.
• Maintain reliability system, including ordering appropriate spare and new parts.
• Manage infrastructure improvement projects such as rail track and storage tank refurbishing.
• Maintain compliance with all Coast Guard regulations related to barge unloading.
• Support and assist as needed the liaison to customer service for shipment scheduling.
• Support and assist as needed with shipments with transport carriers. Utilize SAP Production, maintenance, and shipping
functions. Maintain department reports, issue weekly and monthly reports as required, including documentation of
environmental compliance and distribute as necessary with primary focus on HF, HCL, Rail, and Barge operations.
• Support and assist as needed in maintaining Fluorochemical railcar and truck fleet in coordination with Corporate Logistics
and Supply Chain group.

Required Education/Qualifications/Work Experience

This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a preference for
manufacturing with 2-3 years of experience in a chemical plant or industry. Demonstrated ability in chemical engineering
principles is required as well as computer and technical writing skills
